LoSalt @ Rosemary Conley Diet & Fitness Clubs

In the run up to this year's Salt Awareness Week, LoSalt invited all members of the Rosemary Conley Diet & Fitness clubs across the country to learn about salt health in their weekly classes.

Forty-two Rosemary Conley franchisees, covering nearly 12,000 members, took LoSalt up on their offer, using samples and informational materials to educate members on salt health and ways to reduce the levels of sodium in their diets.

Moderating salt intake is the important part of any diet, whether it is to lose weight or just to be generally healthy, since too much sodium in the diet can result in increased blood pressure levels and water retention.

Belfast's Avril Waller said it was a real eye opener for some members:

"Everybody was shocked and horrified at the amount of salt they are eating, when they thought they were eating none or very little."

Gloucester South's Corinne Stevenson, who was a Franchisee of the Year Finalist in 2010, said the LoSalt materials also went down well:

"I know from comments in class that many members found the sachets beneficial in trying before you buy and have since gone onto to buy only Lo Salt now for adding to their low fat chips.  It was also most useful to be able to send them away with an information booklet."

"The LoSalt samples were fab and it was good to have the booklet to go with them too, so members took away some information as well as the sample.  Many had heard of LoSalt but hadn't tried it so were positive about giving it go on the low fat chips we had been talking about in class that week."
