The UK's Healthiest Fish and Chip Shop Announced!

Towngate Fisheries chip shop in Bradford was last night awarded the 'Healthy Eating Fish and Chips Award' sponsored by LoSalt, at the 2017 National Fish and Chip Shop Awards.

Fish City in Belfast was the runner up.

The 'Healthy Eating' award recognises fish and chip shops that have gone the extra mile and incorporated several ways to serve their customer a great tasting, healthier takeaway.
Towngate Fisheries provides its customers with nutritional information for all of its dishes and has a special lighter menu for those looking for lower calorie, healthier options. Fish can also be served poached, rather than in batter. The chip shop is also an advocate and user of LoSalt, which delivers the same great taste as regular salt but with 66 per cent less sodium.
